Who is behind KentiQ?
KentiQ is founded by Kent Nielsen, a former Chief Engineer and technical project manager with hands-on experience in offshore wind, oil & gas, and complex industrial systems.
KentiQ was founded in 2020 by Kent Nielsen — a seasoned external project manager and former Chief Engineer with over 20 years of experience in offshore, energy, and industrial sectors.
Originally established under the name A-C-I – Agile Consulting and Innovation, the company operated under this identity until June 2025, when it was rebranded as KentiQ to better reflect its international focus, technical foundation, and strategic project mindset.
From the living room in Esbjerg, Denmark, Kent launched the consultancy with a clear vision: to offer hands-on technical project leadership for companies that need execution power, structure, and results.
Since then, KentiQ has supported critical engineering projects across Europe — from offshore wind concept studies and test benches to stakeholder coordination in international mergers.

With a background in Marine Engineering and a Bachelor’s in Technology Management, Kent Nielsen has worked his way from ship mechanic to Subsea Supervisor, Chief Engineer, and now Technical Project Manager.
He was one of just 100 candidates globally selected for Transocean’s elite Subsea 100 program —
a post-Macondo initiative designed to strengthen technical leadership in offshore operations.
This real-world experience, from commercial shipping and chemical tankers to energy plants and offshore substations, defines KentiQ’s approach.
Kent’s ability to operate in high-pressure, high-stakes environments means clients get not just advice —
but execution built on engineering insight, stakeholder alignment, and commercial awareness.
In 2023, Kent began pursuing an Executive Bachelor in Engineering Business Administration (EBA) to strengthen his ability to align technical execution with commercial value and strategic direction. This undertaking is expected to conclude with the thesis drafted during Q3/Q4 2025 and final exams in early Q1 2026.
Combined with a Diploma of Technology in Project Management and certifications in PRINCE2, Agile PM, and Change Management, this ongoing development ensures that KentiQ brings not only engineering know-how, but also business fluency and structured leadership to every engagement.
It’s this dual perspective — technical depth and commercial clarity — that enables KentiQ to manage complex projects with purpose and precision.
KentiQ doesn’t operate as an external vendor on the sidelines. Instead, we integrate directly into your project team to move your initiatives forward — from concept to commissioning.
Whether you need short-term project support or long-term leadership, KentiQ adapts to your team, project phase, and operational reality.

Behind the structured execution and technical leadership, I bring a personal philosophy grounded in continuous development and curiosity.
Driven by curiosity and a strong appetite for learning, I focus on continuous development alongside delivering strong project outcomes. I completed a Diploma in Project Management in 2021 and an Executive Bachelor in Engineering Business Administration (EBA) in early 2026.
Psychology is a particular area of interest — especially in relation to leadership, team dynamics, and decision-making. The time I’ve spent exploring these themes has proven valuable in real-world project work, conflict resolution, and organizational development.
Physical well-being is equally important to me. I maintain an active lifestyle through swimming, rowing, and kitesurfing — staying sharp, focused, and ready for new challenges.
